Additional information: Our client is a small company that like many in the UK is relying on Google searches to acquire new customers. After our client increase their prices, one of their customers tried to negotiate a discount. When this was refused, the customer went on Google Maps to post a highly defamatory review against the company. This resulted in substantial financial losses to our client’s business because the false review was detailed and highly convincing to the unsuspected Google user. Following communication with the Google user, the user removed the false review from Google Maps and our client received an apology. Our client's Google Maps listing are now clean and healthy and our client is reporting that business is back to normal.
